Partnerships
Another major role PJCC plays is serving as the lead agency in two key West Oakland Collaboratives:
- West Oakland Community Collaborative (WOCC). Founded in 2001, the West Oakland Community Collaborative (WOCC) consists of nine community based organizations serving West Oakland. Agencies address a wide range of issues from substance abuse and HIV/AIDS education to job training and economic development. Prescott-Joseph serves as the lead agency for many WOCC programs. Current WOCC members include: Economic Council for West Oakland Revitalization, Institute for the Advanced Study of Black Family Life and Culture, United Neighborhood Improvement Association, Peoples Community Partnership Federal Credit Union, Prescott-Joseph Center, Regional Technical Training Center, SISTER Program, Womens Economic Agenda Project, George P. Scotlan Family Center.
- West Oakland Asthma Coalition (WOAC). WOAC was established in 2001 by area organizations to provide school-based education, school staff training, and in-home education and environmental assessments. Staff includes a registered nurse who is a certified asthma educator, a Respiratory Therapist, an Asthma Coordinator with professional experience in insurance issues, and a part time Spanish-speaking outreach worker. Prescott-Joseph serves as the fiscal sponsor for the WOAC. Current WOAC members include: American Lung Association, Alameda Alliance for Health, Childrens Hospital and Research Center, Alta Bates Summit Medical Center-Ethnic Health Institute, Alameda County Public Health Department, Alameda County Lead Poisoning Prevention Department, and Regional Asthma Management and Prevention (RAMP).

Tenant Organizations
We have several tenants, other non-profits serving the people of West Oakland. They are:
- Training Institute for Leadership Excellence / BWOPA
- The West Oakland Community Collaborative
- The West Oakland Asthma Coalition
These organizations and others in the community that use our facility for meetings bring focus to the issues that confront this community, environmental, education, health, economical, food, political and so on.
